For Immediate Release – November 23, 2020
Dear Friend of The Livery,
We have exciting news about the future of The Livery to share with all who’ve supported, donated, volunteered, attended concerts and held your special events within these historic walls. We’re thrilled to announce that the Northern Borders Regional Commission has awarded a significant grant to the Sunapee Heritage Alliance for the purpose of improving and bringing The Livery up to current structural codes. The NBRC is a federal/state partnership for economic and community development in northern Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. The applications for such grants are extremely competitive and we are honored to be one of only eight recipients in the state of New Hampshire.
This grant of $350,000. will secure The Livery as a historic landmark and create a code compliant facility, on which we will build our future. The Sunapee Heritage Alliance Board is profoundly grateful for the Commission’s generosity and for appreciating the importance of saving The Livery.
We greatly appreciate friends of The Livery who’ve been our inspiration every step of the way as you encouraged the Sunapee Heritage Alliance, our nonprofit organization, to move forward with plans to renovate and restore the building, while providing more opportunities as a venue for “Music~Arts~Community”, serving the greater Lake Sunapee region. Our further pledge is to keep you informed as plans evolve, the grant is implemented and we embark upon this journey and share what it means for The Livery and our community’s future.
Sincerely,
Barbara Sullivan, Chairman
The Sunapee Heritage Alliance Board
